Free Internet EraserFree Internet Eraser protects your Internet privacy and security by permanently deleting your internet history and past computer activities.
Before you can use Internet Eraser you'll have to choose what you want to delete. Click on the Windows tab to display the window below. Choose which files you want to delete by clicking the checkbox next to it. Or, just click on the Select All button.
Click on the Browsers tab to reach the window shown below. In this window I suggest selecting everything except the ActiveX box at the bottom. ActiveX is used by some websites to display their content. If you delete it each time you're on the internet, you'll most likely have to reinstall it to view certain webpages.
The Plug-Ins tab and the Drive Ops tab are not available in the free version of the software. You can read about what they do and decide if you want to upgrade to the Professional version for $29.95. That brings us to the Advanced tab shown below. Here you can choose to automate some of the features of Internet Eraser in the General Options section of the window by checking the appropriate checkboxes shown. The Security Options section lets you decide to overwrite files with zeroes, ones, or random numbers. It also lets you choose how many times to overwrite a file, up to 999 times!
Next is the Schedule tab in which you can set up Internet Eraser to run automatically at preset times, from every few minutes to monthly.
