What could be better than free security software? How about software that is not only free but actually good, safe, and useful? It's true, some of the best software available is actually free.

My list is small because I do not endorse any software that I have not tested myself.

Here is a list of some of my favorites:

Free Internet Eraser - Free Internet Eraser protects your Internet privacy and security by permanently deleting internet history.




Mozilla Firefox - The most popular of the alternative internet browsers.




AVG Anti-virus - One of the best free anti-virus products available.




Ccleaner - If you want your computer really cleaned up, try Ccleaner.




Spybot - Spybot will rid your computer of spyware, malware, and maybe even a couple of trojan viruses.




Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware - Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is another excellent tool to have on your PC. It will find and delete malware and viruses that others can't.
