Vista Screen Resolution
Are you having trouble seeing your desktop items? Or is everything too big? This Vista Screen Resolution tutorial will show you how to change your desktop settings and stop squinting. The first step to changing your screen resolution is right-clicking your mouse in an open area of the desktop. This will open a menu as shown below. Left click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu.
The next screen will be the Personalization window as shown below. From this window you want to go down to the bottom of the list and click on "Display Settings".
After clicking on Display Settings you'll be taken to the Display Settings window shown below. Here you can see the Resolution settings which can be changed by moving the slider back and forth. The more to the left you go, the smaller the numbers become, and as a result, desktop items become bigger. The farther to the right you go, the opposite happens, and desktop items become smaller.
Once you have your resolution set, click on the Colors drop-down window, as shown below, to make sure that you are using the highest numbers of bits. The higher the number of bits the better your image and color tone will be.
When done, be sure to click the Apply button to save your changes, and then the OK button to close the Properties window.
